Deploy a paid MCP server or x402 API

A production-oriented path for developers who already have a useful API, tool, workflow, or agent capability and want it reachable by AI agents.

1. Put the service on a public HTTPS origin

Railway is suitable for APIs, workers, MCP servers, background jobs, and databases. New referred users receive Railway credits; Practical Automation Lab may earn cash commission on qualifying referred spend.

2. Make the service machine-readable

Expose an OpenAPI document or MCP server description. If the service is paid, make the payment contract machine-readable too. For x402, an unpaid request should return a standards-compliant 402 Payment Required response.

3. Add agent-native discovery

AgenticTrade provides a marketplace/discovery channel for agent-facing APIs and services. If your API is already live, listing it adds distribution without rebuilding the product.

Prefer an autonomous done-for-you launch?

PAL Agent Commerce Launch Kit — $99 USDC: generates runtime readiness evidence, agent card, llms.txt, OpenAPI/x402 metadata, marketplace payloads, and a prioritized launch checklist for an existing public service.

PAL Agent Commerce Go-Live — $350 USDC: verifies the existing paid service, generates the bundle, submits it to compatible machine-buyer directories, and returns registration receipts and remaining blockers.

4. Validate before buying traffic

Check uptime, cold starts, payment metadata, input validation, and whether an unpaid request reliably returns the correct challenge. Do not spend money promoting an endpoint that fails machine checks.

Best-fit services

This approach works best for deterministic capabilities that an agent may call repeatedly: enrichment, validation, scraping, data transforms, ecommerce diagnostics, monitoring, and other narrow workflows. Avoid publishing a generic endpoint merely to have something in a marketplace.
