These Terms of Service govern your use of Practical Automation Lab ("PAL") public tools, websites, and software subscriptions. By using a PAL service, you agree to these terms.
PAL provides browser-based business, product-data, integration-readiness, compliance-readiness, reporting, monitoring, and related software tools. Some tools are free and some software capabilities require a paid subscription or software license. PAL Pro is a self-serve software subscription consisting only of software features and software access.
Public browser tools may be available without an account. Paid software may require billing information or account details through an approved payment or platform provider. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you control secure and for activity performed through your account.
For PAL services purchased directly through a supported checkout provider, the payment provider or merchant of record identified at checkout processes the transaction. Prices, taxes, billing interval, and renewal terms are shown at checkout before purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing interval until canceled. You may cancel before the next renewal to prevent future recurring charges.
PAL Catalog Check for Shopify uses Shopify's platform billing rather than PAL's direct checkout provider; charges for that app are governed by the billing terms presented through Shopify.
Refunds are governed by the PAL Refund Policy, the terms presented by the applicable payment provider, and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
You may use PAL services only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit content you do not have the right to use, or use the services to facilitate fraud, abuse, unlawful surveillance, or infringement of third-party rights.
You are responsible for the data and materials you choose to process and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions. PAL's current privacy practices are described in the Privacy Notice. Where a tool is described as browser-local, its core input processing is designed to occur in your browser unless the tool clearly states otherwise.
PAL tools provide technical checks, calculations, readiness indicators, and operational guidance. Outputs may contain errors or may not reflect every requirement that applies to your situation. You remain responsible for reviewing results and for legal, tax, accounting, compliance, security, purchasing, or other professional decisions.
PAL may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep paid services reasonably available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Material changes that affect an active paid service will be handled reasonably and consistently with applicable law and payment-provider requirements.
PAL retains rights in its software, branding, site content, and service design except where third-party or open-source licenses apply. These terms do not transfer ownership of PAL intellectual property to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PAL services are provided on an "as available" basis without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. PAL is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the services. Where liability cannot be excluded, PAL's aggregate liability for a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
For software subscription or licensing questions, use the software access form. For refund requests, follow the process in the Refund Policy. Do not send passwords, API keys, payment-card details, customer records, or other sensitive data through public forms.
